The series LuminariaConcerts by Candlelight began over 20 years ago, fruit of the church’s desire to open its doors and offer free concerts to the music-loving Roman public. Over the years we have welcomed international performers, among them organists Martin Sander, Josep Solé Coll, Torben Krebs, Livia Mazzanti, Stephen Hamilton, Riccardo Bonci, Juan Paradell Solé, Alessandro Bianchi; pianists Mirta Herrera, Akané Makita, Maurizio Paciariello, Anyssa Neumann, James Philip Leslie, and other soloists including Nina Beilina, David Geringas, Peter Geifmann, Mario D’Agosto; the choirs of the English cathedrals of Ely, Norwich and Exeter, the vocal ensemble of the US Naval Academy, and othe vocal groups such as the Coro da Camera Italiano, Città di Roma, Musica Reservata, Musica Nova; orchestras Nova Amadeus, Città di Roma, John Cabot and conductors including Claudio Maria Micheli, Tom Hammond-Davies, Claus Efland, Nicola Samale, David Riddel, Ronen Borshevsky. We thank the many artists who cannot be ndividually named, but who have nonetheless given beautiful and moving performances.

The music is offered in the splendid setting of the church illuminated by traditional tall candles used in the liturgy.
Except in exceptional cases, all concerts are free. You can book (it is not mandatory, nor binding, but also useful for us, from an organizational point of view) online
Access to the church is permitted starting from 6.00 pm and the duration of the concerts is approximately one hour.

We will be most grateful if, at the end of the concert, you wish to leave a donation to cover the organizational costs and, above all, to be able to cover the musicians’ expenses.
