The Rev. Dr. R. William Franklin+
Fr.
Bill Franklin is Associate Priest and visiting fellow at the Anglican
Centre in Rome, at St. Paul's Within the Walls and at All Saints'
Anglican Church in Rome. He is also Associate Director of the American
Academy in Rome. He has served since 1992 as a Governor of the Anglican
Centre in Rome and a member of the Anglican-Roman Catholic Dialogue.
He has been Dean of the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and Professor
of Church History at the General Theological Seminary. He is married
to Carmela, Director of the American Academy in Rome, and they have
two daughters, Corinna and Beatrice. Email

The Rev. Dr. Russell Gabriel Ruffino+
Fr. Russ+ was received as a priest in the Episcopal Church, Diocese of Rhode Island, on October 27th, 1990. He has spent over thirty years serving in Priestly ministry, including administrative experience in congregations, as well as in educational institutions and government service; pastoral care to people of all age groups and diverse social circumstances, to the liberal, conservative and middle-of-the-roader; circuit preacher and teacher in parishes and at educational institutions; coordinator for ecumenical relations and worship locally and nationally with Christian denominations and Jewish communities.
After three appointments as Interim Vicar in parishes in Rhode Island, Russ+ was appointed Rector of the Church of Saint Peter-by-the-Sea, Narragansett, RI. During his tenure there membership and attendance tripled, and Sunday School attendance and Stewardship quadrupled. He also supervised their $1 million Capital Fund Campaign.
Fr. Russ+ also served as Dean of the Narragansett Deanery (Twelve churches in southern RI), Chair of the Diocesan Commission for Clergy Continuing Education; member of the Diocesan Commission on Ministry and Coordinator of the Clergy Action Group for Relations with Roman Catholics.
Educated at Seton Hall University, NJ, USA and at the Gregorian University, Rome, Italy, Fr. Russ is fluent in Italian, has practical capabilities in Latin as well as some facility in French and Spanish. He is married to Barbara Ann Casey, and they have two children, Michael Gabriel and Jane Casey. Email

Administrative Assistant: Andrea D'Agosto
Andrea
D'Agosto was born on the Isle of Wight (GB), and holds an honors
degree in Music from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. She
came to St. Paul's in 1995 as Secretary, and became Administrative
Assistant in 1997. "What I love about this job," she says,
"is the variety. You never know who's going to come through
the door next or what they're going to ask for. I've had to learn
a lot about practical ministry as well as technical things to keep
this office running smoothly. Every day here presents a new challenge."
In 1999 she was appointed by Bishop Jeffrey Rowthorn to the Convocation's
Commission on the Ministry of the Baptized, where she served
on the Mission sub-committee till 2002. She was elected to the Council
of Advice in October 2002, and in 2005 was appointed Treasurer
As a singer she is known as Andrea Caroline Manchée, and
has specialized in early music, giving concerts with chamber ensembles,
and has recorded three CD's: 20th Century French Music (The New
Chamber Singers, 1998); Missa 'Ave Regina' by Tomas Luis de Victoria
(Festina Lente 2000); Nicolini,
Carulli, Crescentini (Duo Manchée-Taranto, 2002). Email

Organist & Director of Music: Stefano
Vasselli
Stefano Vasselli
was born in Rome in 1969 and began his concert career at the age
of 17. He attended the S. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome were he graduated
in four main disciplines: Organ, Composition, Piano and Choral Conducting.
He also took courses in Gregorian Chant at the Pontifical Institute
for Sacred Music and attended many international Master Classes
with various renowned teachers such as Michael Radulescu, Maurice
Pirenne, Suzanne Chaisemartine, Daniel Roth and Michael Schneider.
He has given numerous recitals all over Italy, Europe, the United
States, Israel Argentina and Mexico, dedicating himself particularly
to the French Romantic repertoire: he has performed the complete
Organ works by Cesar Franck and Maurice Duruflé, the complete
series of Ch. M. Widor's Symphonies and has in his repertoire significant
works by Vierne, Tournemire, Dupré, Messiaen among others;
he has recorded Duruflé's Requiem and the Langlais Messe
Solennelle; he has also often played with orchestras presenting
Organ concertos by Handel and Poulenc.
From 1993 to 1998 he was organist at S. Spirito in Sassia church
in Rome; in 1995 he was awarded the first Prize at the "Torneo
Internazionale di Musica" and in 1999 he was appointed as Organist
and Director of Music at St. Paul's within the Walls. Under his
direction, the music life of St. Paul's has flourished while the
church has now gained an outstanding place among Roman venues for
concerts. He has worked with various orchestras and conducted St.
Paul's choir in many concerts performing Faurè's Requiem,
Bach's Magnificat, Vivaldi's Gloria, Mozart's Requiem among others.
He is also active as a composer and some of his works have been
included in a publication of liturgical music edited by the churchpublishing

Bookkeeper: Laura Tagliapietra
Laura
Tagliapietra is Italian, and lived and worked in London for
a long time before returning to Italy with her family. Laura has
an MBA in Business Administration and an impressive curriculum listing
experience in teaching and translating as well as Personnel, Administration
and fund management for a variety of telecommunications and private
and investment banking firms. She speaks fluent English and Italian,
some (very rusty) Russian! and a little Spanish. Email

Coordinator for Refugee Services
Akbatan
Abdullah (Tuana) was born in Suleimania (Iraq) in 1976. After
two years of studies in physics at the University he was forced
to leave his home country, and arrived in Rome in 1999. He was given
official refugee status in the same year and began working at St.
Paul's in the refugee center, first as a barber, then as a cleaner
and security guard. In 2002 he was chosen by CIES as one of 16 students
in all Italy, studying language culture and method. He hopes to
continue with this course and eventually to go to University in
Italy. Tuana speaks Khurdish, Arabic, Italian, 'a little bit English'
and Farsi. Email
